This is a research website about Japanese shotacon manga, or just shota.
My aim is to grow the website into a knowledgebase and a collection of the little research that has been published in the area of what I call shotaology, or shota studies. I translate some Japanese sources into English and also publish shorter reflections that come up as I read them.
Shota is the subject for my master’s thesis and film in Visual and Media Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin.
I would love to get in touch with shota fans across the globe!
